Soho Souk is an easy to use online classified marketplace for sellers and buyers. Our platform has been made to be both simple and user friendly.
How it works
For sellers:
You first start by clicking on the “Post your ads” button. You will then be directed to logging into your account. This can be done by either creating a new account or logging in through your social media account. Once you are logged in you can proceed to sell your item. There will be a basic ad form for you to fill out; on this form you will mention what you are selling along with all the necessary details and pricing for interested buyers.
On the ad form you can then also select which category and subcategory you are looking to place your ad in. For example, if you want to sell an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy, you would simply select the “Smartphone” subcategory section in Electronics category.
Soho Souk has multiple categories and subcategories for you to choose from when selling. So whatever item it is that you want to sell, make sure to find the appropriate category to place it in. For example it wouldn’t make sense to place a car listing in the home furniture section.
As a seller you will also have a list of options on how you wish to be contacted. You can choose the method that best suits you; this includes placing your number, or getting messaged directly via the website and your account.
Paid Featured ads
Sellers will also have the option of using our paid featured ad service. Sellers who use this service will receive additional benefits compared to a free ad. As part of the featured ad package a seller’s ad will receive priority showcasing and placement over a free ad. Priority placements will include on the front page of the website, as well on the category and subcategory pages. Featured ads will also have a longer duration on Soho Souk compared to a free ad.
For Buyers:
If you are a buyer and find something you would like to purchase then it’s pretty straight forward, you simply get in contact with the seller. In some cases you will also have to create an account in the same way as a buyer. For example, if a seller does not list their number and wishes to only be contacted through direct messaging then you would have to be logged in either through a newly created account or through your social media account to be able to contact the seller.
